As a Senior Partner at Vantage Associates-West, Inc., he advises for‑profit companies and non‑profits in both board and executive capacities, and coaches high‑impact leaders who want to grow, adapt, and lead with greater effectiveness.
With more than 40 years of experience building and leading successful teams, Marshall brings a seasoned perspective to strategy, organizational alignment, leadership development, and change management. His work helps leaders elevate their impact, improve execution, and create cultures where people and performance succeed.
Before joining Vantage Associates, Marshall served as President of Sequent Energy Management, one of North America’s largest natural gas marketing companies. Under his leadership, Sequent achieved two of the most profitable years in its 20‑year history — including its highest‑performing year ever. His career also includes senior roles in business development, marketing, operations, and organizational management across the energy industry.
Marshall’s leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that real leaders are catalysts — shaping strategy, strengthening culture, and unlocking the best possible outcomes. His own growth was shaped by the guidance of an executive coach/consultant, and he now provides that same level of support to executives and managers committed to leading with intention and delivering results through people.
In addition to his professional work, Marshall is a dedicated volunteer leader with Breakthrough T1D, the world’s leading organization funding type 1 diabetes research. He has served on the Houston Chapter Board of Directors since 2009 and on the international Global Mission Board since 2021, helping advance the mission to prevent, treat, and cure T1D.
